Details: On Friday, October 15 we are offering a very special tour for our members. We will be touring the J.C. Newman Cigar factory. This is the oldest (opened in 1910) family owned cigar maker in America. At one time the El Reloj Cigar Factory (the original name) hand rolled more than 250,000 cigars daily. The tour will begin at 10:30 AM. This is a tour that I have wanted to do for a long time. You will see the Cigar Museum, the interactive theater, the Rolling School and the factory store. This tour was inspired by Tampa Section members Don and Splash Eckerson who have done the tour and highly recommended it. Following the tour we will have lunch at the nearby Casa Santo Stefano at approximately 12:30 PM. The restaurant is housed in a historic former Ybor City macaroni Factory.
Directions: Put the address into your navigation system, smart phone, GPS, google maps or Mapquest for specific directions from your location or call Lynn Hutchinson, 727-420-0424 or Linda Cooper, 727-798-6800.
