Twenty-two folks in 13 cars joined us for a Texas BBQ and wine tour. From Fort Worth, we drove to Belton on scenic roads less traveled. Our first destination was Miller's Smokehouse for lunch. Texas Monthly says this is one of the best BBQ joints in the world (but surely they meant Texas?), and Miller’s Smokehouse did not disappoint.
After lunch, we took another scenic drive to Valley Mills Vineyard for some Texas wine. The winery was a beautiful venue nestled on a hill overlooking a lush green valley below.
After some socializing with a glass (or so) of wine, we took to our cars for the long drive home.
