The June First Sunday Drive will take us through the heart of Gold Country. We’ll meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Flower Farm Cafe in Loomis, and then take Highway 49, through Coloma, and ending up in Placerville. |

From the drive organizer, Melinda Lincoln: This month’s drive will begin at a little known, but absolutely delightful, family owned, eatery called the Flower Farm Café, located at 9280 Horseshoe Bar Road in Loomis , CA. They offer wholesome foods, great coffees, a clean restroom, some paved parking, and SCONES! Be sure to take your Dramamine for this drive! Upon departure from the Flower Farm Café: Turn right on Horseshoe Bar Road At the light, turn Left on Auburn-Folsom Road Drive 7.4 miles before taking a right onto I-80 East ( don’t worry, we will be on that freeway less than 1 mile) Travel .7 miles and take exit #119C Elm ( it is the second exit); take a left on Elm At the stop light, turn left on High Street High Street becomes Highway 49 Drive 2.5 miles and turn right, crossing over the bridge to stay on Highway 49 Drive 23.5 on Highway 49 then turn right on Spring Street to stay on Highway 49 Cross over Highway 50 Drive .2 and turn left to stay on Highway 49 Immediately on the right hand side is the restaurant we’re having lunch: Buttercup Pantry 222 Main Street Placerville,CA They call it American cuisine, normal brunch / lunch menu, but they also have PIE ! Clean restroom and plenty of paved parking with indoor and outdoor dining. |
